Investing in Collegiate

Supporting Excellence, Opportunity, and Community

At Collegiate School, philanthropy plays a vital role in sustaining the exceptional educational experience that has defined our community for over a century. Every gift — no matter the size — has a profound impact on our students, faculty, and programs, ensuring that Collegiate remains a leader in academic excellence, character development, and community engagement. By giving to Collegiate, you are investing in the future of our students and the continued growth of a school that is shaping tomorrow's leaders.

Designate Your Gift

Supporting Collegiate is simple and impactful. Gifts can be directed to:

  • Collegiate Fund gifts are extremely important because they support the school’s growing program needs in all areas. Tuition accounts for 87% of the cost to educate each student and the Collegiate Fund is vital to making up the difference — the difference being greater opportunities and stronger offerings for our students and faculty.

  • Planned Giving is one way to ensure your support of Collegiate and is an important part of your estate planning. By including Collegiate in your estate plan, you make a statement of your confidence in our School and it is a powerful way to ensure our future strength. Our Helen Baker Society recognizes those individuals who have made provisions in their estate plans for Collegiate.

  • Gifts to Collegiate’s endowment are particularly valuable because they are invested in perpetuity, creating a permanent source of funding for ongoing priorities, such as faculty and staff professional development, scholarship and facilities maintenance. The generous endowment donor can be assured that these gifts will serve their intended purposes for as long as the School continues to exist. The gift is never spent; each year a portion of the investment gain is used to support the School’s activities. Collegiate has an impressive collection of 170 restricted and unrestricted endowment and scholarship funds. As of June 30, 2022, these endowments were valued at just over $84.6 million.

  • Our capital projects are more than bricks and mortar — they are long-term investments in the spaces where students discover their passions, develop their potential, and prepare to lead lives of purpose. Gifts to capital projects help create the physical environments that shape a Collegiate education: classrooms that foster creativity and collaboration, athletic facilities that promote wellness and teamwork, performance spaces that amplify student voice, and gathering places that bring our community together.
