Lower School (JK-4)

Getting to know our youngest learners in the Lower School helps to spark inspiration and imagination to learn foundational skills through hands-on exploration and a variety of topics in their homeroom and resource classes.

Middle School (5-8)

A time of growth and discovery, students begin to expand their knowledge in core subjects while exploring more sophisticated and increased offerings in robotics, performing and visual art, and partnerships with Richmond organizations.

Upper School (9-12)

The culminating learning experience as students have more agency over their courses with a host of electives paired with a rigorous curriculum of AP and honors coursework. There are also many opportunities to form important connections off-campus that can lead to future concentrations of study.

Our dedicated College Counseling team works one-on-one with students and families to navigate the college application process, from identifying best-fit schools to preparing standout applications. With a track record of placements at top universities, Collegiate ensures every student is equipped to take the next step with confidence.

Where Curiosity Meets Opportunity

Every day at Collegiate, our students' unique interests and ideas are nurtured, supported, and celebrated.

Everything we learned in macroeconomics felt applicable to the real world. We would be learning about interest rates, and then we’d read the news and see how the Federal Reserve was treating interest rates. You learned how the economy operated in the world, and that was really exciting.

In a constantly evolving world, we want students to develop flexible thinking skills. Technology is a means of interacting with the modern world, and having a strong literacy in technology is crucial to maintaining the interaction.

Students build foundational technology skills when they’re introduced to these new concepts. They are very eager, and they can easily work with one robot or system and see some sort of pattern between other technologies and disciplines. It’s the concepts generally that, introduced in the Lower School, become more practical as they move through the divisions.
